Troop 39
will celebrate its 70th anniversary on January 28,
2012 at 6:00 pm with dinner and a program at the Belk
Scout Reservation Dining Hall. All former scouts, Eagles,
leaders and friends of the troop are invited to attend. Dinner
will be $8 per person and an RSVP is required. For more

is January 23.
The evening
program will feature Doug Herbert, Eagle Scout, NHRA
top fuel drag racer and founder of
B.R.A.K.E.S (Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe). Just
a few years ago Doug lost his two sons in a tragic automobile
accident and now has a powerful message for teen drivers and
